Our labels, which can be applied to slides before staining, will adhere to the slide surface throughout staining/zylene procedures and the labels will remain white and stain-free, ensuring the printed information remains machine (i.e. bar codes) or human (i.e. alphanumeric) readable.

Health authorities recommend bar code labels

The American Society of Cytopathology has proposed to: "Encourage the use of bar coding and medical labels from the time of patient registration to receipt of specimen in the laboratory." This recommendation is part of a set of recommendations to build safety into processes of care to reduce medical error and improve quality, and is a response to the Institute of Medicine's report on medical error and patient safety in America.
